Youth Ministry
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
A place to grow
together with God
The youth is the hope of our future – Jose Rizal
At Good Shepherd, we create a space for youth to grow spiritually, whether through attending Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation, youth group activities, or simply interacting with our multi-generational members. We equip our youth with core Christian values (love, compassion and respect) so that their lives will be centered in Christ in all they do.

Sunday School
It has been said that faith is caught, not taught. While that may be true, the foundation upon which faith grows can be taught. At Good Shepherd, Sunday School encourages faith formation for toddlers through teens each Sunday from mid-September through mid-May. PreK through 5th grade meet during the 9:30 worship time and 6th grade through High School meets during the 11:00 worship time.
Confirmation
Who is God really? Does being a Christian make a difference? What do I believe? These are questions youth will answer for themselves as they deepen their faith through intentional study of the Old and New Testament, the 10 Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Apostles' Creed during a period of instruction, typically during the 7th and 8th grade, in preparation to affirm their faith (confirmation). Music, movie clips and games such as Old Testament Olympics are a part of the Wednesday evening classes that are taught by the pastor and lay leaders during the school year.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
At VBS, you might find kids exploring the mighty love of God on the High Seas or discovering that God is Wild About You in a Panda-filled bamboo forest. Awesome music, crazy games and keepsake crafts are just a part of the fun and unique way to experience God's Word and love each summer.

"FLOCK" Youth Group
What goes hand in hand with faith formation for teens? Food and fun, of course! Middle school and high school youth get together for games, snacks and good times, meeting at least once a month during the school year.
