       5-24-21  WORSHIP UPDATE:

GSLC continues in-person worship services and our live streaming of these services on our GSLC YouTube channel.  Reservations are no longer required.

We want you to know the following information as you make your decision as to when you are comfortable returning to in-person worship.

NOTE:  Please do not come to worship if you know you have been exposed to someone with Corona virus or if you are experiencing any symptoms including fever.

  1. Everyone will be required to wear a mask while in the building.  Please bring your own mask if possible, but should you forget to bring one, we have disposable masks available.
  2. When you arrive, you will be asked to keep a 6-foot distance from others who may be entering ahead of you.
  3. A greeter will hold the door open for you and give you an application of hand sanitizer.
  4. Please enter into the open sanctuary doors and find a seat in one of the alternating pews marked available for sitting.  Each family should keep a 6-foot distance in each pew from others.
  5. Beginning May 30, there will be congregational singing during the worship service.
  6. All announcements, liturgy, prayers, and readings will be projected on the wall.
  7. Pastor Ted, assisting ministers and readers will be allowed to remove their masks for reading at the microphone in the chancel/altar area only.  Beginning May 30, music leaders may sing without masks.
  8. Offering plates/baskets will not be passed.  They will be placed on stands in the sanctuary for offerings to be placed on the way in or out of worship.
  9. Greetings and sharing of the peace will be done with no physical contact while maintaining social distancing.
  10. Communion will take place at the end of the service.  Wafers will be used instead of bread and individual plastic cups will be used for wine and juice.  A gluten free option will be available.  You will be released (beginning with the back row first) from the pew one person or family at a time to maintain social distancing.  An usher will offer hand sanitizer as you leave the pew.
  11. Following communion, please exit the main doors where you will find a trash container for disposal of plastic communion cups.
  12. Please do not congregate in the entry or right outside the front doors.
  13. The nursery will not be staffed and is only available for necessary diaper changes or childcare needs.  Please do not allow children to play with toys or books.
We look forward to joining you in person for worship when you determine that the time is right for you.  Until that time, whether we gather in person or online, we continue to be joined to one another in Spirit as together we offer our thanks and praise to God.
